Niagara Falls, NY - NYS Parks Western District Director Mark Mistretta announced that the redeveloped section of the old Niagara Scenic Parkway will now be called Gorgeview. Dignitaries gathered to formally open the Gorgeview section of Niagara Falls State Park between Whirlpool Street and the Niagara Gorge, formerly a section of the Niagara Scenic Parkway.

WHAT: Formal opening and ribbon cutting of Gorgeview.
This project removed an underutilized, two-mile stretch of the former Robert Moses Parkway (now called the Niagara Scenic Parkway) in the City of Niagara Falls and created a stunning new area in Niagara Falls State Park called “Gorgeview” that provides unimpeded access to the Niagara Gorge and improved recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
